BLACKLINE IN THE BEGINNING
Ben Smith formed Blackline Classic Cars Ltd in 2012.
At the age of just 17, Ben set up the business at his family home in Wellington, Somerset. He bought an old classic Mini that required attention with a view to restoring it and selling it on. His passion for high standard paint and body work developed during this time and Ben took on varied work for local garages and traders. This marked the beginning of an evolving business. Needing to expand, Ben set up a small workshop in Ottery St. Mary, Devon and was offered an opportunity to complete a bare-metal respray of a classic Jaguar E-Type giving him the chance to show the world his extraordinary natural talent.
